Odds and Ends

So a while ago (September) I went stir crazy because our apartment is so small. We continue to acquire stuff and have no place to put it... therefore it was Ben's idea to buy invest in a storage type thing and put it in our house. Ever since we did, life has been great! I can put all my sewing/craft stuff where it's out of the way and we are utilizing the space from floor to ceiling! (instead of just floor to waist) It now has doors on it and works great. You'll be able to see it in the background of the halloween party pictures. The next project that Ben had up his sleeve was to build a table saw that could accommodate both his router and his circular saw. I think he got the idea online somewhere, but he figured it out and made it. He is so handy and really enjoys wood related projects. It's great because after he does things for himself, he ends up making me something awesome as well! Here's some pictures of his table/saw and him using it. If you ever need wood cut, you know who to call!

I think this picture is from early October. It was our first cup of Hot Chocolate for the season! Ben makes it perfectly for me, so whenever he has some, I ask for a cup as well. And of course, you need a cookie to go with it!
The next exciting thing in our lives recently is our purchase of a KitchenAid mixer! We've been saving for one for a while now and when we found a good deal on Costco.com we went for it! For those that are wondering, October is the time to buy them! We were able to get a rebate for an ice cream maker (attachment) from the KitchenAid site for FREE! I'm just waiting for it to arrive. I was so excited!
Here is Ben making cookies the same night it arrived. He's the cookie monster in our family. There are never enough cookies in the house!
The weekend before the KitchenAid came, I was able to go to Richfield, UT for Time Out For Women with my MIL and SIL's. It was a very uplifting weekend and such a nice time. It was fun to have a girls weekend and get away from Provo!
Well, that's it for this post.. I still need to catch up on our Halloween Party, my Birthday and Thanksgiving! You know you need to update your blog when Chris Heaton can remember the exact date of your last post! Ha! Thanks for reminding me to stay caught up, Chris! Glad to know I have at least one reader. :)
