I am pleased to announce that mi madre is coming to UTAH!!!!! i know i know, you might be thinking, WHAT? foells? in UTAH? but yes my friends it's true. Madre, hermano #3 and hermana #2 are coming to town next weekend!! I'm soo excited to see them. Well, at least the Madre. kids #5 and #6 are kinda like the part of the package that you don't want when you get a steal of a deal at the store, but it's all or nothing. ;) jk jk. i'm way excited to see them too. and be able to take them around my life in utah and play with them. but let's be honest, i really just want to sit and talk with my mom. SO... if i drop off the face of the earth for a week, that's why. Here are a few of my favorite pictures of the soon to be visitors:

"THE LOOK OF DEATH" exhibit A: (Emma Foell)

"The boy who loves flowers" (Ethan Foell)

top 3 reasons to visit home..

top 3 reasons to visit home...

#1. i get to talk with my parents all week!!! My absolute favorite part about coming home is being able to sit with my mom all day and talk and catch up and reflect on our lives... i get some great insight from her. she's an amazing woman. If i'm 1/2 the woman she is, i'll be satisfied. She's my greatest support in life. i love her...

#2. THIS PICTURE: bwahahahahahhahahahaha this is EMMA. she is dressed like sharpay evans from High School musical, and she goes around the house singing songs like "the Climb" (by miley cyrus/hannah montana or whoever she is)
It's great!
Just as a comparison.. Here are 3 pictures of Sharpay from the first HSM.. Emma's got the look DOWN!
the HAT:

the PINK:
and the sparkly jacket.. :]
#3. To learn how to sleep through anything...
As if i can't already sleep anytime, ANYWHERE and with anything going on in the background... going home helped me to learn how to tune out yet another one of the joyous noises of being home... the SQUEAKY WHEEL!!

THIS.... is MANNY. (the hamster)

hamsters are NOCTURNAL if anyone didn't know... so.......... they run on a squeaky wheel all freaking night! so, after the first WEEK, i learned how to tune it out... too bad I only had 3 or 4 nights left there.. i could have used my newly developed talent...

and so my friends, 3 reasons to visit my house.. MOM, EMMA and MANNY.. trust me... it's worth it. :]

and Lived to tell about it..

So this post is about my friends that i will never forget.

take home message: I met Benjamen Lee and Christopher Fred and lived to tell about it.

Let me tell you something.. This past semester, these two boys have been our best friends. it all started with me asking Ben and Chris to teach me snowboarding... and these fools actually agreed. I don't think they knew what they were getting into, but they did, and that started our friendship. so after bowling, movies, snowboarding/skiing, hello yogurts, sensuous sandwiches, and post ward prayer parties, (especially the food)... we're really good friends. So i just want to say Thanks.

KATIE, Ben and Chris... You're great. I love you guys.

Super American.

So basically I'm super American. let me tell you what.
I probably couldn't sing all the verses to all those patriotic songs, or tell you whether the first stripe on the flag is red or white, but I DO attend great American sporting events...

BASEBALL for example, is GREAT, and it makes me feel American. so basically, what I'm trying to say, is that I went to a baseball game.

and Here are the Pictures:
AHHH... can you just feel the american pride. :]

"Oh Gosh am I Depressed!"

i almost forgot!! I finally saw the GOONIES for the first time all the way through! it was a little scary at some parts, but for a pansy like me, it was pretty good. the only reason i sat through it [other than i was too tired to move] was because of the best character EVER. CHUNK. he was absolutely hysterical! Best part ever is when he says, "Oh Gosh am I Depressed!" followed by spraying a massive amount of whipped cream into his mouth.. It's the best thing EVER. and i can't find a clip of it online... so go watch the movie and look for that! it's in the first 1/2 hour of it.
here are a few of my other favorite lines (courtesy of IMBD.com)

Chunk: Listen, okay? You guys'll never believe me. There was two cop cars, okay? And they were chasing this four-wheel deal, this real neat ORV, and there were bullets flying all over the place. It was the most amazing thing I ever saw!
Mikey: More amazing than the time Michael Jackson come over to your house to use the bathroom.
Brandon Walsh: More amazing than the time you saved those old people from that nursing home fire, right?
Mouth: Yeah, and I bet it was even more amazing than the time you ate your weight in Godfather's pizza, right?
Chunk: Okay, Brand. Michael Jackson didn't come over to my house to use the bathroom. He was about to. But his sister did.
**************
Chunk: You guys, I'm hungry. I know when my stomach growls there's trouble.
**************
[the Fratellis are interrogating Chunk]
Francis Fratelli: Tell us everything! Everything!
Chunk: Everything. OK! I'll talk! In third grade, I cheated on my history exam. In fourth grade, I stole my uncle Max's toupee and I glued it on my face when I was Moses in my Hebrew School play. In fifth grade, I knocked my sister Edie down the stairs and I blamed it on the dog... When my mom sent me to the summer camp for fat kids and then they served lunch I got nuts and I pigged out and they kicked me out... But the worst thing I ever done - I mixed a pot of fake puke at home and then I went to this movie theater, hid the puke in my jacket, climbed up to the balcony and then, t-t-then, I made a noise like this: hua-hua-hua-huaaaaaaa - and then I dumped it over the side, all over the people in the audience. And then, this was horrible, all the people started getting sick and throwing up all over each other. I never felt so bad in my entire life.
Jake Fratelli: I'm beginning to like this kid, Ma!

Especially Flowers

So for Easter Weekend I went with Ben to visit his family in KANAB. (Yes, it's a real place..)
Kanab is just about an hour southeast of St. George, UT. inbetween Bryce canyon, Zion's National Park, Lake powell and the Grand Canyon (as shown on the map above) :]
It was such a fun weekend. I met his family, who just happen to be amazing.. (just like him) and I got to explore the biddy town of kanab. It was a fun filled weekend of "Don't Eat Pete!", roasting marshmallows/hot dogs over the fire after a hike up something called "squaw trail".. (Yes, i actually used more energy than normal to go on an actual hike) :] We also went to moqui cave to see a friend and learn about the dinosaurs tracks in Southern Utah. (definitely a must see for kanab). and we also were able to hear his brother tom play the bagpipes.. it was soo cool.

He is such a stud for even owning bagpipes... but like everything, it's a work in progress..
Despite all the cool things we did with his family and around town... this was one of the most hilarious things to me..

the greatest EARTH on SHOW... it WAS beautiful.. but this sign still makes me laugh. ESPECIALLY the dedication portion of the monument..
Appreciation and Adoration for ALL growing things...
[Favorite part] "...YOUNG WOMEN and ESPECIALLY FLOWERS" FLOWERS??? REALLY? that just makes me laugh. b/c you know Jana Deen Slade Ott is a super cute old lady that loved all those things.. but overall, she loved FLOWERS the most. just cute/hilarious.
Kinda sad that the only picture of the two of us is in the CAR on the trip back to provo.. oh well.

Thanks for a great time Ben.
