So something kinda cool happened yesterday..(tues). My friend in my ward put me down as a reference for her background check. She is applying for a U.S. Embassy job in Russia... (super cool) The guy called me a million times before i actually picked up the phone, and when i finally did, i got out of bed and got ready so when he came to my house to meet with me (yes, they have to make house calls) he wouldn't think I just woke up.. (sad huh?) but yeah, it was a really cool experience... he even showed me his "credentials." it was sweet. this is a mini picture of what they looked like.. (the best google search could give me)

any questions?? feel free to ask.. it's kinda cool to say that i participated in a real background check.. yeah, i'm kinda a big deal ;)

That is an excellent story. I've never been part of a background check. The best I've done is when people have put me down as a reference for a job. They just call me and ask me questions. Not cool at all.
She was telling Kevin and I about everything she had to do for the background check and it sounded to me like she was in a tough situation because she couldn't meet the exact number of people they wanted as credentials, so I'm glad it worked out that you could be one for her :)
